What your day could look like

As Clinical Nurse Consultant - Palliative Care, you'll help deliver compassionate, coordinated care that supports patients and families through every stage of their journey. Working across hospital and community settings, you'll provide clinical leadership, strengthen partnerships and help shape better health outcomes across the region.

Every day, you'll contribute by:

  • Coordinating palliative care services that improve continuity, quality and patient experiences.
  • Partnering with clinicians, GPs and community providers to ensure seamless, person-centred care.
  • Providing expert clinical guidance, mentoring and support to colleagues and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Leading service improvements that enhance safety, effectiveness and care outcomes.

You're a skilled and compassionate nurse who brings advanced clinical expertise, sound judgement and a commitment to delivering high-quality care. You build trusted relationships, communicate with empathy and lead with confidence during complex situations. You're motivated by making a genuine difference in the lives of patients, families and communities, while helping others grow and succeed.

Here's what will help you thrive in this role:

  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
  • Strong experience in palliative care and multidisciplinary care coordination.
  • Advanced communication, clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to lead, influence and contribute to quality improvement and team development.

You'll stand out if you have postgraduate qualifications relevant to palliative care and/or experience working across regional, rural or community health settings.

Most importantly, you'll bring Compassion, Integrity, Dignity, Innovation and Courage to every interaction, helping deliver care that truly matters.
