About the Role:

• Provide educational counselling and support services within schools to ensure that the best possible assistance services are available to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander children, students, families and communities.
• Provide cross cultural awareness training to the broader school community.

Responsibilities:

• Provide educational counselling and wellbeing support to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander students.
• Work collaboratively with students, families, school staff and community organisations to improve engagement and educational outcomes.
• Develop and deliver programs that encourage participation in education.
• Promote Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives across the school community.
• Provide cultural advice and guidance to school leaders and staff.
• Deliver cross-cultural awareness training and help build culturally safe and inclusive learning environments.
• Establish and maintain strong partnerships with community services and support networks.
• Hold a current paid Working with Children Blue Card.
