You will play a vital role in leading the development of quality teaching and learning and nurturing positive relationships between students, teachers and stakeholders in the senior phase of schooling and Inclusion Faculty.
About the Role:
As the Deputy Principal (Special Education), you will work to improve the educational outcomes of students within the school, support the development and enhancement of teaching and learning quality, and foster positive relationships among students, teachers, the community, and stakeholders. The Deputy Principal has a pivotal role leading the Wellbeing Team, Positive Behaviour for Learning and whole school signature events, as well as responsibility for Years 11 and 12.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to;
- Assist the Principal to lead the school community to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focussed on providing quality learning outcomes for all students
- Academic leadership – QCAA processes and QCE/QCIA tracking – Years 11 and 12
- Welfare and Engagement leadership - PLRs & NCCD
- Operational leadership of key events
- Human Resource leadership including Year Level Coordinators, Non-teaching Wellbeing Team members
- Uphold the deputy principalship as a values based, ethical and moral activity.
- Embed socially just practices in daily school life.
- Set high standards for student and staff performance.
