Your new role:
As the Advanced Trainee Registrar – Advanced Laparoscopy, you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality obstetric and gynaecological care while undertaking a structured advanced training program designed to support your transition to consultant practice. You'll develop advanced surgical expertise alongside experienced specialists in a collaborative teaching environment through:
- Dedicated advanced laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgical training, including completion of the Advanced Laparoscopic and Hysteroscopic ATM.
- Hands-on experience across operating theatres, outpatient clinics and birth suite services.
- Opportunities to work alongside multidisciplinary teams caring for complex gynaecological and obstetric patients.
- Consultant-supported opportunities to lead operating lists, clinics and after-hours services.
- Teaching, mentoring and leadership opportunities with junior medical staff.
- Participation in research, education, quality improvement and service development initiatives.
About you:
You are a motivated Obstetrics and Gynaecology trainee who is passionate about advancing your surgical expertise while delivering outstanding patient care. You will bring:
- Registration (or eligibility for registration) as a Medical Practitioner with the Medical Board of Australia.
- Advanced Trainee status with the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RANZCOG).
- Demonstrated clinical knowledge and sound procedural skills in Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with patients and multidisciplinary teams.
- A commitment to education, continuous learning and mentoring junior clinicians.
- A collaborative approach with a focus on quality improvement, patient safety and compassionate care.
