About us:

Theodore Multipurpose Health Service is a welcoming rural healthcare facility located 229km southwest of Rockhampton, nestled along the Leichhardt Highway between Castle Creek and the Dawson River. As part of Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service, this 10-bed service plays a vital role in supporting the local community by delivering a diverse range of care, including emergency services, inpatient and outpatient care, residential aged care and telehealth support.

Small in size but big in impact, Theodore MPHS provides an opportunity to be part of a close-knit team delivering essential healthcare where it matters most.

About the role:

  • Provide compassionate, person-centred care to aged care residents and patients, working within scope of practice and under the guidance of a Registered Nurse.
  • Support the delivery of daily nursing care, including assisting with personal care needs and contributing to a safe, respectful and comfortable environment for patients and residents.
  • Observe, monitor and report changes in patient care needs, assisting the RN and healthcare team to evaluate and adjust care plans.
  • Build positive relationships through clear communication with patients, families, carers and the multidisciplinary healthcare team, while contributing to quality improvement activities.

About you:

  • A Certificate III relevant to the clinical area is highly regarded.
  • Willingness to take instructions and guidance from others and willing to contribute to the successful functioning of the team and service.
  • Ability to consistently deliver a high level of service to patients, building rapport and showing compassion and empathy.
  • Demonstrate the importance of working as a healthcare team member with honesty, integrity and respect for all patients, carers, and staff.

What we offer:

Total monthly remuneration value of up to $6,664 p.m. is comprised of:

  • An hourly rate between $35.05 - $38.37 p.h.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
