About the role

The Physiotherapist delivers high-quality physiotherapy services across multiple clinical areas within Caboolture, Kilcoy and Woodford health services. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, the role provides evidence-based assessment, treatment and rehabilitation services to patients across a range of clinical specialties while supporting safe, effective and patient-centred care.

The successful candidate will rotate through a variety of clinical areas, applying professional knowledge and clinical skills to meet diverse patient needs. The role also contributes to quality improvement activities, service development initiatives and professional learning opportunities, while participating in weekend and out-of-hours services as required.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

  • Deliver competent and evidence-based physiotherapy services across multiple clinical specialty areas within hospital and multidisciplinary team environments.
  • Apply clinical reasoning and increasingly independent judgement to assess, manage and treat patients with a range of clinical presentations.
  • Work collaboratively with patients, families, multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders to support positive health outcomes and continuity of care.
  • Provide supervision, education and support to students, allied health assistants and less experienced staff with guidance from senior clinicians.
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, clinical practice development and service enhancement activities that support ongoing improvements in patient care.
