About us:
The Central Queensland Evolve Therapeutic Services (ETS) is aligned to Child and Youth Mental Health services and staff are located at the service centres of Emerald, Gladstone, and Rockhampton. Evolve Therapeutic Services is one of four Child and Youth Services teams, also including the Child and Youth Mental Health Service, Assertive Mobile Youth Outreach Service, and Youth Alcohol and Other Drugs service. Evolve Therapeutic Services in Central Queensland is a multidisciplinary team including Social Work, Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Nursing and Psychiatry disciplines.
The ETS Team provides specialist intensive trauma-informed mental health services for children and young people aged 0-18 years who are referred by Child Safety Services, (Department of families, Seniors, Disability Services and Child Safety.)
About the role:
- Provide specialist assessments and evidence-based therapeutic interventions for children, young people and their families experiencing severe and complex mental health and behavioural challenges.
- Manage a complex clinical caseload while delivering ethical, independent practice and contributing to best practice within the Evolve Therapeutic Services team.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and community partners to coordinate care, develop case plans and achieve positive outcomes for young people.
- Build strong therapeutic relationships with children, families and carers using attachment and trauma-informed approaches tailored to individual needs.
About you:
Hold qualifications and registration with the appropriate registration authority to practice in any of the following:
- Occupational Therapy
- Psychology
- Social Work
While not mandatory, a relevant postgraduate qualification is highly desirable for this position. Eligibility for appointment as an Authorised Mental Health Practitioner under the Mental Health Act, 2016 would be highly desirable.
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $78,679 p.a. is comprised of:
- An hourly rate between $64.64 - $69.55 p.h.
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
