About the role
As the Radiographer Advanced – Informatics, you will lead and manage the radiology informatics environment, ensuring the effective operation, optimisation and continuous improvement of medical imaging systems across multiple sites. Working alongside clinicians, radiographers, sonographers, nuclear medicine technologists, nursing, medical and administration teams, you will play a pivotal role in supporting service delivery, system performance and strategic informatics initiatives. This position combines both clinical and managerial responsibilities, requiring advanced problem-solving skills, sound judgement, strong stakeholder engagement and the ability to lead service improvement initiatives in a complex healthcare environment.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Lead, manage and provide high level technical and professional advice relating to informatics to clinicians, patients, professional organisations or other Queensland Health groups.
- Assist in the development of strategic and operational plans for informatics service, ensuring continuous service improvement is in line with departmental and hospital goals and service KPI's.
- Demonstrate high-level independent decision making and judgment of complex and varied nature, managing teams, challenges or change, calmly and effectively.
- Ensure patients and other staff are treated fairly and with integrity, respect and understanding, regardless of cultural, religious, ethnic and linguistic backgrounds.
- Lead high performance and teamwork in all aspects of the service, including facilitating training and education of all staff and stakeholders, including all quality and safety requirements.
