The QGIF 3-Year Data and Technology Roadmap (Roadmap) is a rolling multi-year program to modernise QGIF’s insurance operations, strengthen data and analytics capability, optimise claims management processes and enable productivity tools. The Roadmap is intended to reduce manual effort, improve data-driven decision-making and strengthen risk management information for QGIF, Treasury, agencies and Queenslanders.

Queensland Treasury is seeking a highly motivated Principal Project Officer to support the delivery of strategic initiatives within the Queensland Government Insurance Fund (QGIF).
The QGIF 3-Year Data and Technology Roadmap (Roadmap) is a rolling multi-year program to modernise QGIF's insurance operations, strengthen data and analytics capability, optimise claims management processes and enable productivity tools. The Roadmap is intended to reduce manual effort, improve data-driven decisionmaking and strengthen risk management information for QGIF, Treasury, agencies
and Queenslanders.
In this role, you will independently coordinate the planning and delivery of roadmap initiatives, working with business stakeholders, technical specialists, vendors and executives to ensure successful project outcomes. You will contribute to governance, reporting, procurement, implementation and stakeholder engagement activities that support transformational change across QGIF.
In this role, you will:
• Lead the planning, coordination and delivery of roadmap projects and work packages.
• Manage project risks, issues, dependencies and governance activities.
• Develop high-quality project, governance and procurement documentation.
• Coordinate actions and deliverables across business teams, technical specialists and vendors.
• Build strong stakeholder relationships and support collaborative project delivery.
• Drive business analysis, implementation and benefits realisation activities.
What experience you will bring:
• Demonstrated experience delivering complex projects or programs, ideally involving data or technology initiatives.
• Strong project coordination and organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Excellent communication skills and experience preparing executive and governance documentation.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing capabilities across business and technical environments.
• Experience in governance, procurement, implementation or change activities associated with large-scale transformation or enterprise systems.
There are no mandatory qualifications needed for this role, however, qualifications or experience in project management, business analysis, information technology, digital delivery, public sector governance or a related discipline would be highly regarded.
