About us:
Moura Multipurpose Health Service is a modern rural community hospital located in the Dawson Valley, around 180km west of Rockhampton. Designed as a hybrid between an outpatient centre and a traditional rural hospital, it provides a broad range of healthcare services including 24-hour emergency care, medical and surgical services, paediatrics, palliative care and pharmacy support.
Visiting and outreach services include mental health, drug and alcohol, women's health and radiography. The Operational Services team plays a vital role in maintaining a safe, clean and well-functioning hospital environment through catering, cleaning, laundry, maintenance and support services, helping ensure high-quality care for patients, residents, staff and visitors every day.

About the role:
- Deliver essential support services across Moura Multipurpose Health Service, including catering, cleaning, laundry, accommodation and general facility support to maintain a safe and welcoming environment.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and infection control through scheduled cleaning, appropriate chemical use, waste management and upkeep of clinical and non-clinical areas.
- Provide grounds and facility maintenance by caring for gardens, lawns and outdoor areas, maintaining equipment, and supporting preventative maintenance activities.
- Operate as a valued member of the health service team by ensuring equipment, work areas and services are maintained efficiently to support quality care for patients, residents, staff and visitors.
About you:
- Ability to work effectively within a multi-skilled team with a strong commitment to customer service and supporting a positive experience for those accessing the health service.
- Commitment to quality standards and continuous improvement by working towards departmental and organisational goals.
- Effective self-management skills, including the ability to prioritise tasks, manage time, solve problems and complete duties with minimal supervision.
- Understanding and commitment to workplace policies and procedures, including workplace health and safety requirements, industry standards and organisational values.
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $49,293 p.a. is comprised of:
- An hourly rate between $32.33 - $34.50 p.h.
- An hourly rate between $40.42 - $43.12 p.h. (including 25% casual loading)
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- 17.5% leave loading
