About us:

At Central Queensland Mental Health, Alcohol and Other Drugs Service (CQMHAODS), you'll join a passionate team delivering specialist mental health care to more than 250,000 people across Rockhampton, the Capricorn Coast, Gladstone, the Central Highlands and Banana.

Based in Rockhampton, our Acute Care Team provides specialist mental health assessment, treatment and crisis support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You'll work alongside experienced multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced, rewarding environment where every day is an opportunity to make a real difference.

About the role:

  • Work closely with consumers, families, carers, multidisciplinary colleagues and community partners to deliver person-centred care.
  • Provide evidence-based mental health assessment, treatment and support to consumers and the wider community.
  • Champion recovery by building strong relationships and empowering consumers to achieve their goals.
  • Assess, plan, implement and evaluate high-quality care in line with professional standards and the National Standards for Mental Health Services.

About you:

  • A relevant clinical qualification from a recognised tertiary institution (or equivalent) and eligibility for registration or membership with the appropriate professional body.
  • Advanced clinical knowledge and experience supporting people with serious mental illness, including a strong understanding of the Queensland Mental Health Act 2016 and the National Standards for Mental Health Services.
  • The ability to confidently manage competing priorities, organise your workload and deliver high-quality clinical services.
  • A collaborative mindset, with the confidence to work as part of a multidisciplinary team while also working independently when required.

Mental Health Clinicians

Hold qualifications and registration with the appropriate registration authority to practice in any of the following:

  • Occupational Therapy
  • Psychology
  • Social Work
  • Registered Nurse (if applicable)

What we offer:

Total remuneration value of up to $132,567 p.a. is comprised of:

  • An hourly rate between $43.97 - $58.59 p.h.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
