About the role
The Operations Director, Cancer Care Services (CCS) is a critical executive leadership position within Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital (RBWH) and Metro North Health, responsible for driving strategic, operational and research excellence across one of Queensland's largest and most complex cancer services. Reporting directly to the Executive Director, Cancer Care Services, this role provides leadership across multiple clinical departments and service portfolios, ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality, patient-centred and financially sustainable cancer care.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- As part of the Cancer Care Executive Leadership team, work strategically and create plans for the integration and coordination of National, State-wide and Metro North HHS policies, plans and contemporary service delivery models. This will include being able to influence outside of cancer care services, across the Hospital, HHS and Queensland health.
- Provide leadership, direction and support for the development, implementation and evaluation of contemporary and innovative models of care that support multidisciplinary teams to achieve integrated tertiary, specialised services across the continuum for clinical departments within Internal Medicine Services.
- The Operations Director CCS will be responsible for day to day management of the clinical trials team as well as contributing to the development and implementation of the Cancer Care Services research strategy.
- The Operations Director CCS is expected to have the ability to lead and sustain change management in a dynamic multidisciplinary health care environment in line with Internal Medicine Services initiatives.
