About your role
This is an exciting opportunity to help shape the future of Geriatric Medicine at Redland Hospital.
In this role you will:
- Deliver high-quality inpatient and outpatient Geriatric Medicine services.
- Lead the development of Redland Hospital's expanding Geriatric Model of Care.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver person-centred care.
- Provide clinical leadership, governance and evidence-based decision making.
- Supervise and mentor Registrars, junior doctors and medical students.
- Develop and implement clinical guidelines, policies and quality initiatives.
- Participate in service planning, patient flow and continuous improvement.
- Support education, research and professional development across the department.
About you
You're a compassionate and experienced Geriatrician who is passionate about improving the health, independence and quality of life of older people.
You'll bring:
- FRACP (or equivalent) with accreditation in Geriatric Medicine.
- Eligibility for specialist registration with AHPRA.
- Expertise across acute, subacute and rehabilitation geriatrics.
- Strong experience in comprehensive geriatric assessment.
- Excellent leadership and multidisciplinary collaboration skills.
- Commitment to quality improvement and clinical governance.
- Experience teaching and mentoring junior medical staff.
- Outstanding communication with patients, carers and colleagues.
- Passion for service development and innovative models of care.

Redland Hospital is the major health centre for adults and children in the Redlands and Brisbane's southern bayside suburbs. We provide a range of services including emergency care, primary health and minor injury care, acute and subacute medicine, general surgery, maternity and paediatric, mental specialist outpatient and mental health care.
