An exciting opportunity is now available for a Principal Cultural Heritage Officer to provide high level leadership and cultural heritage management expertise to the organisation. You will support QTRIP projects at planning, design, and construction phases in meeting departmental and government commitments regarding cultural heritage management. In addition, you will lead the fostering and maintenance of strategic alliances with internal and external clients including Traditional Owners and/or their agents. You will provide leadership and innovation in the sector, not just legislative compliance.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities required:

  • Significant experience in the cultural heritage aspects in the planning, design, construction, and maintenance of linear infrastructure
  • Advanced technical abilities in archaeology and/or cultural heritage management
  • Well developed written and oral communication skills
  • Well developed interpersonal skills and the ability to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong organisation skills
  • Ability to work within strict deadlines
