About the role
You'll be a valued member of the Oral Health leadership team, providing operational coordination, professional support, and clinical expertise across our service.
- Lead and support the Dental Assistant workforce through mentoring, workforce planning, rostering, recruitment, and professional development.
- Coordinate key operational activities including outreach services, travel arrangements, procurement, inventory management, and resource allocation.
- Provide high-quality chairside and clinical dental assisting support across a range of oral health services and treatment settings.

Requirements
- Possession of a Certificate III in Dental Assisting from a registered training organisation (RTO) or other recognised tertiary institution is mandatory for this role.
- Potential applicants are advised that the Commission for Children and Young People and Child Guardian Act 2000 requires Queensland Health to seek a ‘working with children check; from the Commission for Children and Young People and Child Guardian prior to appointment to this position.
- Aged Care Pre-Employment Screening: Applicants are advised this position works in an identified Aged Care Facility as per the Aged Care Act 1997 and therefore requires employees and volunteers to have a current National Police Certificate. Queensland Health will facilitate applicants obtaining the above National Police Certificate.
- Pre-employment screening will be conducted for the successful applicant, including Criminal History checks.
- This is a VPD risk role and may require evidence of vaccination or immunity to: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis, and Tuberculosis.
- A period of probation may apply.
