Your new role:

As a Clinical Nurse within the Minor Injury and Illness Clinic, you'll deliver advanced nursing care to patients with low acuity injuries and illnesses across multiple community-based settings. Working with a high level of autonomy, you'll provide clinical leadership, support quality improvement initiatives and contribute to education and service development while ensuring outstanding patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver advanced clinical assessment, treatment and coordination of minor injury and illness care.
  • Provide clinical leadership, mentoring and support to nursing staff and the multidisciplinary team.
  • Drive quality improvement, evidence-based practice and patient safety initiatives.
  • Work across Minor Injury and Illness Clinics and other Logan Beaudesert Health Service facilities as required.

About you:

You're an experienced emergency nurse who enjoys working autonomously, leading others and delivering exceptional patient-centred care in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Skills & Experience

  • Current NMBA registration as a Registered Nurse with relevant acute or emergency nursing experience.
  • Advanced assessment, clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven leadership, mentoring and communication abilities within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Commitment to evidence-based practice, continuous improvement and high-quality patient care.

Eight Mile Plains Satellite Health Centre, Maroo-goodji-ba:

The satellite health centre is also known as Maroo-goodji-ba, a name chosen by the community and local Traditional Owners and Elders means ‘peace, wellbeing and place of red earth' in the Yagarabul language.

The satellite health centre treats minor illnesses and injuries that aren't life-threatening and also have a range of specialist services, including kidney dialysis, cancer day therapy and mental, allied health and outpatient services.
