Role details
The Digital Health Solutions at the Mackay Base Hospital is seeking applications for a Digital Project Manager to join their team on a temporary basis.

Your opportunity
The Digital Project Manager, within the Digital Hospital Program (DHP), is a transformative portfolio of digital initiatives designed to improve the health and wellbeing of consumers within the Mackay Hospital & Health Service (MHHS). The portfolio includes a range of internal initiatives, as well as digital projects being delivered in partnership with Clinical Excellence Queensland (CEQ) and other vendors.
As the Project Manager, you'll manage a complex business change initiative that involves multiple streams of work across the organisation. You will be responsible to ensure it maintains momentum and achievement of objectives throughout 2020. Reporting to the Chief Digital Clinical Officer and the Nursing Director eHealth, you will lead a high functioning multi-disciplinary team of IT, business and technical resources.
This position works within a collaborative team and contributes to the continuing innovation of digital health care solutions. The role will contribute to effective project governance and provide expert advice to the Executive Leadership Team, the Nursing Director eHealth and the Chief Clinical Digital Officer to ensure effective implementation, engagement and change management to secure successful adoption of digital solutions.
This role will be responsible for the successful implementation of several clinical digital innovations as supported by the Digital Strategic Governance Committee.
About the Team
The Digital Health Solutions team (DHS) support the state-wide Integrated Electronic Medical Record (ieMR) solution and offers opportunity to be involved in training delivery and system adoption, as well as change management and process redesign. The functionality of ieMR at this HHS includes Medication Management, Anaesthetics, SurgiNet, FirstNet, Care Delivery, Renal and Powerchart Maternity solutions and includes device integration for ECG and CTG.
Digital Health Solutions supports the HHS to maximise digital enablers across all aspects of clinical and business delivery. DHS actively supports innovation projects and translates them to reality based on an evidence based, benefits realisation or return on investment approach.

Mackay Hospital and Health Service has 6 hospitals, 2 multi-purpose health services and 4 community health centres that employ more than 3,700 staff.
