The Principal Technical Architect (AO8) is responsible for leading the development of solution architectures across business, infrastructure and functional areas, ensuring alignment with QGEA standards and policies. This role involves creating technology roadmaps, identifying and assessing emerging technologies and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to evaluate potential impacts, threats and opportunities, while also promoting the reuse of tools and platforms across science groups. Share knowledge and lessons learnt across stakeholders such as developers, business and technical analysts, clients, and across other technical and business areas.
Additionally, the role requires a strong commitment to workplace safety, equity, diversity, respect and inclusion, as well as demonstrated leadership in fostering innovation, sharing knowledge, managing risks and addressing both functional and non-functional requirements to deliver effective, secure and sustainable solutions.
Please note - this is a role more aligned to solution architecture than enterprise architecture. The focus will be working directly with clients on individual projects, not setting architecture standards for the whole of department.
Ideally you will be in Brisbane's Dutton Park however, consideration will be given to an alternate location subject to availability at Qld DETSI regional offices. DETSI is a hybrid workplace.
Applications to remain current for 12 months.
