Parliamentary Services is seeking a professional, organised, and community-minded Assistant Electorate Officer to join Nigel Dalton MP, Member for Mackay.
This role is offered on a temporary basis, working 2 days per week, with the possibility of additional days being available as required to support electorate office operations.
This position supports the Member and Electorate Officer in delivering high-quality services to constituents, engaging with local organisations, and assisting with the daily operations of a busy electorate office.
Key Objectives
- Provide high-quality administrative and support services to the Electorate Office.
- Assist constituents and community groups by responding to enquiries and helping resolve concerns.
- Support the smooth day-to-day operations of the Member's office.
Your Role
- Assist with diary management, coordinating appointments, meetings, and community events.
- Provide administrative support including correspondence, research, data entry, and record keeping.
- Respond to enquiries via phone, email, and in person, providing information and support.
- Maintain strong relationships with community organisations, agencies, and stakeholders.
- Support community engagement activities such as events, newsletters, and correspondence.
- Provide general office support including filing, supplies management, and documentation.
- Support the Electorate Officer
