About The Opportunity
Based in TIQ Shanghai office, Reporting to the Queensland Senior Trade and Investment Commissioner - Greater China you will play a key role in promoting Queensland's trade, investment, and education priorities across Mainland China and Hong Kong. You will lead the development and delivery of marketing and communications initiatives, working closely with Strategic Engagement and Communications (SEC) to ensure alignment with organisation-wide brand, marketing and communications strategies.
This includes the management of TIQ and Study Queensland's Chinese-language digital channels, content development and stakeholder communications, to enhance Queensland's profile and support commercial outcomes. Working closely with government, industry and international stakeholders, you will deliver high-impact promotional campaigns, events and strategic communications activities that strengthen Queensland's presence in market.
To be successful in this role you will:
- Develop and implement integrated marketing, communications and business development strategies that promote Queensland's trade, investment, and education capabilities across Mainland China and Hong Kong ensuring all activity aligns with TIQ's organisational-wide marketing, communications and brand strategies (developed by SEC).
- Plan, coordinate and deliver promotional campaigns, events, trade shows, roadshows, business missions and investment attraction activities that generate commercial outcomes, raise Queensland's profile in market and align with organisational wide objectives.
- In collaboration with SEC, manage TIQ Mainland China, Hong Kong and Study Queensland Chinese-language digital channels and social media platforms. This includes content planning, content creation, community engagement, campaign delivery, performance reporting and brand management in alignment with organisational communications and brand strategy (developed by SEC).
- Collaborate with SEC to develop and oversee high-quality Chinese-language marketing and communications materials, including social media content, articles, videos, newsletters, presentations, market reports and promotional collateral.
- Work with SEC to manage external social media, marketing and digital communications contractors, including work planning, content approvals, performance monitoring, budget oversight and compliance with TIQ and Queensland Government standards.
To be eligible for consideration with this opportunity, you must have:
1. Work Authorisation - you must be a citizen, resident or legally authorised to live and work in Shanghai, China and provide the required evidence to support your eligibility.
2. Language - High level written and spoken English is essential, fluency in Mandarin language is required
3. Security Clearance - the successful candidate must be willing to undertake a background check and be confirmed as a suitable person to access Government resources.
While additional languages may be of benefit in market, high-level written and spoken English is essential to the success of this role.
Qualifications and/or experience in marketing, business development, international business, communications or a related discipline will be well regarded.
