Information & Digital Science Delivery is seeking a spatial professional who can work with us to streamline our bespoke spatial reporting platform. This Senior Spatial Systems Developer (AO6) position will suit an innovative problem-solver who is both self-managed and team oriented.

As a member of the Spatial Team, you will focus on solutions that integrate, analyse and deliver spatial data for use by staff and the public. Themes include environmental values, biodiversity and natural resource data.

The Spatial Team supports decision-making, government policy and legislation by providing a range of automated services that integrate, spatial datasets into fit-for-purpose products. The Senior Spatial Systems Developer position will work with the team to streamline and enhance our bespoke spatial reporting platform, to meet current and future requirements of end users.

A combination of geospatial skills and Python proficiency are ideal for this role.

This role will involve:

  • Working with the team to maintain and extend delivery of integrated, spatial information solutions to staff and the public.
  • Enhancing and maintaining the codebase and associated tools for our automated spatial reporting platform.
  • Providing technical advice and guidance to business areas on automated approaches to spatial information delivery.
  • Increasing productivity for staff by improving processes and automating common tasks.
  • Managing project specific development and technical tasks to ensure work is completed to specifications.

We have a whole-team approach to service delivery. You will need a desire to take on projects and meet deadlines. In return, you will be involved in improving, designing and implementing innovative solutions.

Ideally you will be in Dutton Park however, consideration will be given to an alternate location subject to availability at DETSI regional offices.
