Your new role:

Join the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Logan Hospital and contribute to safe, evidence-based and person-centred care while working within a supportive multidisciplinary team; you'll have opportunities to:

  • Deliver high-quality Obstetrics and Gynaecology services, including outreach clinics and termination of pregnancy care.
  • Participate in consultant-led ward rounds, handover and the after-hours and weekend on-call roster.
  • Support clinical teaching and training for RANZCOG trainees, junior medical officers and multidisciplinary colleagues.
  • Contribute to clinical governance, quality improvement, audits, research and service innovation.
  • Work collaboratively with patients, families, carers, colleagues and external partners to achieve positive patient-centred outcomes.
  • Take on leadership, portfolio and service development responsibilities as appropriate.
  • Explore opportunities for exposure to outpatient hysteroscopy through the Meadowbrook Health Centre.

About you:

We're looking for a specialist who combines strong clinical expertise with a genuine commitment to teamwork, learning and improving patient care; you'll bring:

  • Fellowship of RANZCOG, or an equivalent qualification, with specialist registration or eligibility for registration with AHPRA. RANZCOG trainees nearing completion of training may also be considered.
  • Broad clinical and technical expertise in Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
  • Strong communication, collaboration and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to teaching, mentoring and developing other health professionals.
  • A demonstrated focus on clinical safety, quality improvement, research and continuous learning.
  • Leadership skills and the ability to support and supervise junior medical staff.
  • Honesty, integrity and respect for patients, carers and colleagues.

Logan Hospital:

Logan Hospital is the major health centre for one of the fastest growing areas in Queensland. We offer a range of services, including medical, rehabilitation, maternity, surgical and paediatric care.

We offer our staff and students extensive support and training in most medical specialties. As a teaching hospital, we help train future health care professionals and participate in research through strong partnerships with Queensland's leading medical schools, universities, and TAFE Queensland.

Our services will continue to grow as we build bigger and better facilities to support the community. By 2027, we'll have more beds and 5 more birthing suites as part of the Logan Hospital expansion.
