About us:
Maryborough West State School is a long-established Prep-Year 6 primary school which also includes as Early Childhood Development Program (ECPD) which provides services to support children with a disability or suspected disability to have a strong start to education through positive and confident transitions to kindergarten and school.

Your opportunity:
The incoming principal requires strong strategic and instructional leadership skills and a commitment to leading an inclusive educational community through high-quality practices.
The successful applicant should have the skills to lead and manage the alignment of the intended to planned to enacted curriculum and build staff capability in line with ongoing curriculum reform.
The successful applicant will be required to work in partnership with families, community and other agencies to support the educational achievement, belonging and engagement of all students and ensure a collective accountability for school improvement in response to new educational priorities, changing enrolment trends and evolving social and local contexts.
Responsibilities include:
- Lead the school community to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focussed on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.
- Uphold the principalship as a values based, ethical and moral activity.
- Embed socially just practices in daily school life.
- Set high standards for student and staff performance.
- Active participants in life long learning and ongoing professional development.
