The Director, Office of the Executive Director, Health Protection and Regulation Branch (HPRB) provides strategic advice and support to the Executive Director HPRB, and all HPRB Directors in the management and resolution of critical policy and operational issues impacting the Branch. The role includes leadership and oversight of the functions of the Office of the Executive Director HPRB and provides the conduct between the Office of the HPRB and the rest of the Branch, other Population Health Branches and external stakeholders relevant to the work of the HPRB.

Your key responsibilities:
- Providing independent, strategic, consistent, timely advice to the Executive Director as well as the HPRB leadership team regarding contentious, time-critical or confidential matters and other issues as required to ensure business continuity.
- Resolving issues, particularly contentious, time-critical or confidential matters as required by the HPRB Executive leadership team.
- Facilitating a strong and effective professional and consultative relationship with other Population Health Branches, Health and Hospital public health units and officers from other departments and key external stakeholders.
- Developing and maintaining effective professional partnerships with internal and external stakeholders in the development of policies, practices and initiatives to ensure consistency with the Division's direction and corporate strategic intent.
