The Role
An opportunity has become available for a Dietitian - Senior (Obstetric Medicine and Diabetes) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 14 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Deliver high level of obstetric medicine dietetic and diabetes education
- Apply professional judgement to significant scope within a complex and critical service
- Work with central nutrition and food services team and dietitians in the diabetes resource centre
- Provide leadership in the development of obstetric medicine and diabetes clinical practices, procedures and protocols
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
- Possession of a tertiary degree (or equivalent) in Nutrition and Dietetics from a recognised tertiary institution
- Eligibility for membership of the Dietitians Association of Australia and accredited practising Dietitian (apd) credential
- Driver licence
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Paid Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

- Base salary ranging from $64.64 - $69.55 per hour
About Us
The Obstetric Medicine service for Gold Coast Health and Gold Coast University Hospital (GCUH) comprises obstetric physicians, an obstetric medicine registrar, complex care midwife navigator, pharmacist and dietitians.
The obstetric medicine service provides inpatient and outpatient care for pregnant women with medical comorbidities, helping to streamline and coordinate multidisciplinary care. Maternity care models at Gold Coast University Hospital include obstetric-led, General Practitioner Shared Care, Midwifery Group Practice and private midwifery.
