The Executive Manager, Portfolio Management Office (PMO) leads the PMO to support and enable the execution of programs and achievement of project outcomes. The role supports the development, implementation and evaluation of complex projects to achieve project outcomes and support the achievement of organisational objectives.
The Executive Manager, PMO will facilitate a group(s) of inter-dependent programs and projects to ensure consistency, alignment with organisational goals and effective delivery in a complex, ever-changing ICT environment.

We are seeking applicants who, within the context of the role responsibilities, possess the following key attributes:
• Expert knowledge and experience in developing and leading a portfolio management office in alignment with strategic objectives and organisational outcomes.
• Proven experience working in an ICT environment, with an understanding of the PMO requirements in this environment, monitoring performance and outcomes, whilst cultivating effective working relationships to deliver continuous improvement.
• Highly developed communication skills including the ability to build and maintain beneficial professional networks, work collegiately with stakeholders, and write professional, high-quality documents for the consumption of senior managers, external audiences, and other stakeholders.
• Demonstrated high level leadership skills and experience in providing expert advice on PMO related issues to senior management and team members.
• Previous experience in a government environment or a similar setting that has required you to work within stringent governance, policy, program and project management frameworks.
Mandatory/Special conditions/Other requirements
The following mandatory requirements, special conditions and/or other requirements apply to this role:
• Whilst not mandatory, a tertiary or postgraduate qualification in an ICT discipline will be highly regarded.
• Whilst not mandatory, a qualification in Management of Portfolio (MoP), would be highly regarded.
