A temporary opportunity exists for a Head of Department - Student Engagement and Wellbeing at Deception Bay State High School until 11 December 2026.
As part of the Positive Education leadership team, you will lead student engagement initiatives, Positive Behaviour for Learning, Restorative Practices and social-emotional learning. You will also lead support and intervention processes for Tier 2 and 3 students
and oversee the Reset for Learning Room.
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated leader who can connect with students, build positive relationships with staff and contribute to a strong, inclusive school culture.

This is a temporary full-time position to commence from 6 October 2026 until 11 December 2026, unless otherwise determined.

Your opportunity:
As Head of Department- Student Engagement, you will lead initiatives that strengthen student engagement, wellbeing and positive behaviour across the school.
You will work collaboratively with staff to build positive classroom climates, support targeted intervention and strengthen practices that help students engage successfully in learning.
