     What you will be doing:

  • Lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive acquisition strategy that aligns with organisational goals and government housing priorities.
  • Design and embed a prioritisation framework to assess and rank acquisition opportunities based on impact, feasibility, and alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Set annual acquisition targets and performance measures, ensuring progress is tracked, reported, and used to inform continuous improvement.
  • Integrate the acquisition strategy with other housing delivery channels — including redevelopment programs, community housing provider partnerships, and mixed-delivery models — to maximise total housing supply.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, government agencies, and sector partners to identify opportunities, remove barriers, and accelerate delivery.
  • Provide strategic advice to senior leadership on market trends, policy changes, and emerging opportunities in the housing sector
  • Prepare and where required present submissions, briefs, reports and correspondence of a complex nature
  • Actively contribute to an organisational culture that encourages the developmen and maintenance of internal and external client relationships and networks to facilitate strategic alliances and minimise barriers.
