About us:
Central Queensland Mental Health Alcohol and Other Drugs Service provides specialist mental health, alcohol and substance-related care across Rockhampton, Capricorn Coast, Gladstone, Central Highlands and Banana, with services available throughout each region. Rockhampton is the principal service centre, housing the administration of the Mental Health Act 2016 and acute adult inpatient facilities. The service also provides Adult Step-Up Step-Down care in Gladstone and an Adult Community Care Unit in Rockhampton, creating a network of support across hospital, community and recovery-focused settings.
About the role:
- Lead the administration function within the Central Highlands Mental Health Service, coordinating staff coverage, recruitment, training, performance and development.
- Drive quality improvement by analysing service data, identifying opportunities and documenting improvements to strengthen service delivery.
- Own information management support, providing first-level advice, troubleshooting, data entry and retrieval across CIMHA and other Mental Health systems.
- Coordinate high-level confidential administration, including meetings, agendas, minutes, correspondence, HR documentation and reports for the Team Leader and Corporate Office.
- Protect data quality and service standards, supporting routine reporting, monitoring information integrity and contributing to a safe, ethical and compliant workplace.
About you:
- Confident using databases, spreadsheets and corporate systems for accurate data entry, retrieval and reporting.
- Strong clerical and secretarial skills, including meeting coordination, correspondence, committee support and managing enquiries.
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise, negotiate and communicate across all levels of the service.
- Able to deliver formal and informal training, provide practical guidance and troubleshoot issues.
- Understanding of quality HR practices, workplace health and safety, equity, anti-discrimination and ethical conduct.
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $118,172 p.a. is comprised of:
- An hourly rate between $47.41 - $52.23 p.h.
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- 17.5% leave loading
