About the role
As the Senior Project Officer - Quality Improvement, you will work closely with emergency medicine clinicians, nursing leaders, researchers and executive stakeholders to lead and support projects that enhance patient care, improve operational performance and deliver measurable outcomes. This role combines project management, evaluation, data analysis and stakeholder engagement to support the successful implementation of new and existing models of care within the Emergency Department.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Undertake all work deliverables to the highest standard and ensure all work outputs adhere to internal quality assurance models, frameworks and requirem
- Ensure projects are managed in accordance with best practice guidelines, to facilitate consistent and quality project outcomes by developing and maintaining formal project plans, reporting, supporting estimates, records and registers.
- Develop and implement departmental program “project logic” for clinical redesign by analysing and reporting on performance indicators relating to the departmental clinical redesign. Review scientific literature to support clinical redesign activities within the Emergency and Trauma Centre (ETC).
- Improve clinical operational performance and financial outcomes within a value-based healthcare delivery framework by undertaking projects to review current processes, identify improvements (including cost benefit analysis) and make recommendati
- Apply high level knowledge and skills in communication and change management particularly in relation to quality improvement methodologies.
