We are looking for someone with proven people leadership skills, strong organisational abilities with a high level of military history including major conflicts, peacekeeping operations, and the service and sacrifice of Defence Force personnel.

Museum, gallery or cultural institution experience will be highly regarded.

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Supervise a high-performing Anzac Square Memorial Galleries team and coordinate the team's day-to-day activities to deliver professional, responsive, and client-focused services aligned with Visitor Experience branch objectives and organisational priorities.
  • Develop and deliver small engaging programs of events in collaboration with Manager and Marketing Officer. This includes a school holiday program and annual monthly talk series, coordinating speakers, resources, promotion, and ensuring compliance with budget and reporting requirements under the Anzac Square Operating Agreement.
  • Report on visitor programs and services against service delivery standards and attendance and provide feedback and performance data to assist in identifying trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Liaise with stakeholders, including the City Parklands Services, to ensure timely maintenance of the Galleries' facilities and technology and support successful key commemorative events through collaboration with partners.
  • Recommend changes to local procedures and work and engagement practices with stakeholders, staff and visitors to strengthen visitor experience.
  • Contribute to a positive and safe work environment by modelling behaviour that is culturally capable, inclusive, respectful, and ethical.
