Your opportunity: 

  • The Staff Specialist – General Medicine/Endocrinology will provide high-quality, evidence-based clinical and non-clinical services to patients and the broader community of the Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service (WBHHS). The role will contribute to the delivery of safe, effective and contemporary medical care, while supporting the ongoing development of general medicine, diabetes and endocrinology services across the Fraser Coast.

Opportunity for Private Practice: 

The successful candidate may have the opportunity to establish private practice outside of their WBHHS appointment with local private hospitals.  The successful candidate may receive assistance and concessions with:

  • Use of the local private hospital's sessional rooms to allow establishment of practice and referral pathways
  • Assistance with credentialling and administrative support to commence private practice
  • Introduction to local GP's, physicians and surgeons to facilitate referral pathways.

We are offering a competitive remuneration package value up to $564,548 p.a., including salary between $193,191 - $282,912 p.a., generous employer superannuation (up to 12.75%),%), annual leave loading (17.5%), professional development allowance, motor vehicle allowance, salary sacrifice perks, and flexible rostering for optimal work/life balance.
