Expressions of Interest are invited from experienced and aspiring educational leaders for the role of Temporary Principal (Level 2) at Goodwood State School from 5 October to 11 December 2026, unless otherwise determined.

This is an opportunity to lead a small rural school community of approximately 50 students, with a visible role in strengthening student learning, staff development and community engagement.

This temporary vacancy is open to Expressions of Interest and any extensions to this appointment will not exceed 12 months.

Goodwood State School is located in the Bundaberg Region, approximately 40 minutes south of Bundaberg.

As a small rural school, strong relationships and community connection are central to school life.

As Principal, you will lead a committed school community and foster a culture of high expectations, inclusion and continuous improvement.

You will work collaboratively with staff, students, families and the wider community to:

  • Strengthen student learning and outcomes.
  • Support staff development and capability.
  • Build positive community engagement.
  • Lead school improvement priorities and maintain a strong focus on student success.
