About us:
The Adult Community Health Service delivers multidisciplinary, person-centred care through a range of community-based programs, including Care Coordination, Community Rehabilitation, Post-Acute Care, Falls services, Pulmonary Rehabilitation, Persistent Pain Management, Refugee Health, and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Worker services. Delivered across the Cairns region through clinic, home, outreach, and community-based models, the service brings together nursing, allied health, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Workers, and support staff to work in partnership with consumers, families, carers, healthcare providers, and community organisations to improve health and wellbeing, promote functional independence, support timely discharge and integrated care, and reduce avoidable hospital presentations.

About you:
In your new role you will....
- Engage in and monitor self-development to ensure ongoing education to meet competency and mandatory training requirements.
- Undertake non-clinical tasks including, maintaining Allied Health Clinical areas, retrieval, cleaning and maintaining of equipment loaned to patients and other specialised equipment as well as performing routine clerical and administrative duties
- Demonstrate empathy, manage conflict appropriately, communicate respectfully and effectively and balance the needs of all stakeholders with utmost respect to all people at all times.
- Maintain close communication with the allied health professionals, patients, families and other hospital staff, regarding patient care and progress, including relevant clinical documentation and statistics collection.
- Demonstrate self-insight and awareness of the effect of own actions on others, to promote positive and supportive work environments, relationships and teamwork within the physiotherapy and multidisciplinary teams.
