About the role

The Administration Relief and Casual Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and managing a pool of casual and relief administration staff to support the delivery of high-quality patient services across clinical programs at The Prince Charles Hospital. The role ensures that administrative staffing resources are effectively planned, allocated and managed to meet operational demands while maintaining service continuity.

The successful candidate will oversee workforce coordination activities including roster management, leave planning, onboarding, training and performance support for relief and casual staff. Working closely with Administration Managers and clinical teams, they will monitor service effectiveness, drive operational improvements, support workforce capability development and ensure administration resources are aligned to changing clinical priorities.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

  • Coordinate and allocate casual and relief administration staff to ensure appropriate coverage and support clinical service delivery requirements.
  • Manage staff rosters, leave arrangements, onboarding processes and ongoing training to maintain a capable and responsive administration workforce.
  • Monitor workforce performance, compliance and service quality while implementing improvements that enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Generate reports and maintain accurate information management systems to support operational decision-making and resource planning.
  • Provide professional leadership and support to casual and relief administration staff, fostering strong communication, capability development and positive working relationships.
