Competitive salary and benefits:

Generous remuneration package value up to $78,760 p.a. comprising:

  • Salary range of $38.36 to $41.34 p.h. (CA4)
  • 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
  • 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
  • District North East and Uniform allowances
  • Plus Salary Sacrificing options may be available

About your opportunity:

As an Advanced Clinical Assistant - Occupational Therapy - Behaviour Support, you will support patients to achieve identified goals under the direction of an Occupational Therapist. The position forms part of a new service supporting patients with complex behaviour management needs within the inpatient Specialist Dementia Care Unit at Townsville University Hospital. You will provide administrative and advanced clinical assistance to Occupational Therapists, undertaking delegated clinical tasks including specialised clinical screening, individual and group treatment programs, patient education, personal care, manual handlingnad patient transport. You will also contribute to patient records, equippment and resource management, interprofessional teamwork, staff development and quality improvement activities.

Requirements:

  • Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance (or equivalent) and proof of registration (if applicable)
  • Current Class C driver's license.
  • Participation in a seven-day roster, including weekends and public holidays.
  • This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role.
  • Probation period may apply.
  • Pre-employment checks will be conducted.
