Your new role:

As a Resident Medical Officer, you'll build your clinical expertise while providing supervised patient care, with opportunities to:

  • Rotate through various clinical units, including inpatient and outpatient services.
  • Assess patients, arrange investigations, diagnose conditions and develop evidence-based management plans.
  • Participate in day, evening and night shifts, on-call rosters and clinical procedures.
  • Work closely with Registrars, senior medical staff and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Contribute to pre-admission planning, inpatient care, discharge planning and follow-up.
  • Participate in education, training, research, audits and teaching junior colleagues.

About you:

You'll bring a commitment to safe, professional patient care, with:

  • Appropriate medical qualifications and registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
  • Sound clinical knowledge, assessment and procedural skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • A commitment to postgraduate medical education, training and continuous learning.

By 2027, we'll have more beds and 5 more birthing suites as part of the Logan Hospital expansion.
