As a Behaviour Coach in a special school setting, you will be expected to:

  • Have strong knowledge of PBL Framework, Multi-Tiered Support Systems and Trauma Informed Practice.
  • Develop and monitor an action plan for implementation of PBL across the College and actively participate with the school leadership team to ensure whole-school behaviour support is included in school improvement planning.
  • Build staff capability in the implementation of positive behaviour supports through high quality professional learning, technical advice and ongoing coaching.
  • Enact strategies across the College through an instructional and relational approach to maximise student engagement and increased sense of belonging aligned to the ‘Connection and Belonging' guiding principles of the Junior Secondary Engagement Framework.
  • Co-lead and monitor the implementation of Student Wellbeing Framework with Heads of Year, including pastoral care programs, guest presenters and wellbeing initiatives.
  • Maintain College Reward systems such as eStamps and rewards events and provide clear communication to staff through newsletters.
  • Maintain data systems to ensure accurate data is recorded, summarised and analysed in order to enact responsive and targeted support and interventions for improved outcomes. Regularly share data with the leadership team, staff and community ensure student growth and engagement.
  • Report as necessary to the Principal Advisor (PBL) regarding TFI Walkthroughs and Data Collection.
