We are seeking a Senior Cardiac Physiologist with advanced Echocardiography skills to join our growing multidisciplinary team and help deliver specialist cardiac care closer to home. To be considered, you must hold or be currently completing the QUT Graduate Diploma of Medical Ultrasound (Cardiac) and be registered, or eligible for registration, with ASAR.

Public cardiac care is expanding in Central Queensland, and so is our team.
Our team will deliver contemporary, patient-centred care in a brand-new Cardiac Hybrid Theatre, expanded Cardiology Ward and dedicated Cardiac Investigations Unit.
About us:
Our significant cardiac expansion is now open, bringing together a state-of-the-art Cardiac Hybrid Theatre, expanded Cardiac Investigations Unit and dedicated 12-bed Cardiology Ward. These contemporary facilities are increasing access to specialist cardiac care locally and allowing more Central Queenslanders to receive the investigations, procedures and treatment they need closer to home.
The Cardiac Investigations Unit delivers a broad range of diagnostic services including echocardiography, exercise and dobutamine stress echocardiography, transoesophageal echocardiography, exercise stress testing, tilt table testing and ambulatory ECG and blood pressure monitoring.
You'll join a growing multidisciplinary team of Cardiac Physiologists, Cardiologists, Nursing, Administration and other health professionals, with opportunities to work across an expanding range of diagnostic and interventional cardiac services, develop advanced skills and contribute to the ongoing growth of cardiac care in Central Queensland.
About the role:
As a Senior Cardiac Physiologist, you will provide high-level cardiac diagnostic services across inpatient and outpatient settings, with a strong focus on Echocardiography. Working with a high degree of clinical independence, you will manage complex investigations while contributing to clinical education, quality improvement, research and service development. You'll also support and supervise developing clinicians and have the opportunity to contribute to an expanding cardiac service, including the introduction of Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratory services.
About you:
We are specifically seeking an experienced Cardiac Physiologist with advanced skills and qualifications in Echocardiography.
You will hold a tertiary qualification in science/applied science or equivalent, with a strong component of human anatomy and physiology, together with the QUT Graduate Diploma of Medical Ultrasound (Cardiac), or current enrolment in this qualification. You will also be registered, or eligible for registration, with the Australian Sonography Accreditation Registry (ASAR).
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $157,359 p.a. is comprised of:
- An hourly rate between $64.64 - $69.55 p.h.
- Sonographer Development Allowance (if applicable)
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- 17.5% leave loading
