What you'll do
- Develop, maintain, and provide high level specialist advice on, and support of, the integrated operation of complex enterprise applications to achieve defined service levels
- Provide comprehensive advice and technical feasibility on specific applications and their integration with business requirements and the technical environment
- Work collaboratively with business representatives and technical staff in the estimation of development work and understanding of service requirements to ensure service levels remain aligned to changing business requirements and evolving delivery capabilities
- Proactively maintain application design and maintenance documentation in accordance with Queensland Health policies, standards and practices, including eHealth Queensland IT Service Management processes
- Work collaboratively with technical support staff to provide end-to-end support of enterprise applications to ensure defined service levels are met
- Ensure code adheres to business requirements and is testable in a systematic way through unit test, coded UI frameworks or similar
- Contribute to the implementation of software build processes and automation as required
- Analyse performance results, and recommend and contribute to implementing improvements, to meet or exceed defined service levels
About you
We are searching for someone who has:
- Demonstrated ability to provide high quality software development skills using Microsoft, C#.Net, SQL Server, Oracle and related technologies such as ASP.NET, WCF, MVC, Dependency Injection and Object Relational Models (SFIA Code: PROG 4)
- Ability to analyse functional requirements and successfully implement solutions (SFIA Code: DESN 4)
- Ability to develop and implement software solutions, resolve complex application bugs and performance issues, ensuring compliance to technical policies, standards and procedures at an enterprise level (SFIA Code: PROG 5)
- High level interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills (NHS: Effective and strategic influencing)
- Ability to achieve deadlines and work individually and in an Agile team environment (NHS: Self-Management) (NHS: Collaborative Working).
