Join the 30-bed Interim Care Unit located at Bolton Clarke Sunset Ridge Residential Aged Care Home. Operating 24 hours a day across the secure Seahorse wing and non-secure Starfish wing, the unit supports patients who no longer require acute hospital care but are not yet able to return home and need support transitioning to residential aged care.

You’ll assist in delivering a high standard of safe, patient-focused nursing care under the supervision and direction of Registered Nurses, while building your skills and experience in a supportive care environment.

About us:

Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service is committed to delivering great care for Central Queenslanders, supported by great staff working in great teams. At Sunset Ridge Interim Care Unit in Zilzie, you'll be part of a 30-bed service located within Bolton Clarke Sunset Ridge Residential Aged Care Home. Operating 24 hours a day across the secure Seahorse wing and non-secure Starfish wing, the unit supports people who no longer require acute hospital care but need ongoing support before transitioning to a Residential Aged Care Home.

About the role:

As an Assistant in Nursing, you'll work alongside and under the supervision of Registered Nurses to provide safe, patient-focused care. You'll assist with daily care, meals and fluids, mobility and independence, contribute to care planning and patient assessment, observe and report changes in patient needs, and work collaboratively as part of the multidisciplinary team. Full-time and part-time opportunities are available, with shift work across the unit roster.

About you:

This could be a great opportunity if you have a Certificate III in Aged Care or equivalent, or are studying an approved nursing degree and have successfully completed the second semester of your first year. You'll bring a genuine commitment to resident-centred care, strong communication and teamwork skills, an understanding of aged care quality standards and a willingness to continue learning and developing your nursing skills.

What we offer:

Total remuneration value of up to $87,247 is comprised of:

  • An hourly rate between $35.22 - $38.56 p.h.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
