About the role
This role provides continuity of midwifery care for a caseload of 30 to 40 women throughout pregnancy, birth and the postnatal period, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams across Weipa and surrounding remote communities. The Clinical Midwife delivers culturally appropriate, high-quality care and health education, while also supporting and supervising junior midwives and midwifery students within the newly established birthing service.
Appointees will be required to work under the Midwifery Group Practice Model Local Agreement 2015 which includes working variable hours and on call for annualised salary arrangement including 35% loading and 6 weeks Recreation leave.

Salary and Benefits
- Base salary between $114,532 and $122,643 p.a. plus 35% Annualised Salary Loading
- Employer superannuation contribution of 12.75%
