Supply Chain Branch are excited to welcome applications for a production manager to join the Linen Services team in Maryborough! Supply Chain is a branch in Clinical Support Queensland (CSQ) supporting the supply of clinical goods, pharmaceuticals and linen products to the Hospital and Health Services (HHS), Queensland Health. The branch is comprised of functions critical to Queensland Health’s supply response, including Supply Chain Services, Central Pharmacy, Linen Services and Operations. This branch brings together an end-to-end supply chain management function from demand planning through to warehousing and distribution into a single integrated branch led by the Executive Director.

About the role:
As a Production Manager, you will manage production on a day-to-day basis of the Linen Service laundries, achieving operational efficiency whilst maintaining a safe work environment and deliver a balanced outcome meeting our customer requirements.
Your key responbilities include:
- Coordinate the production sequence, workflow and activity levels to ensure optimum service delivery and address emerging issues through effective delegation and application of available resources and provide advice to Laundry Site Manager.
- Comply with the requirements of Workplace Health & Safety, Equal Employment Opportunity and Anti-Discrimination practices and behaviour in the work environment and to report any incidents.
- Pro-actively identify and manage risks within the production environment, with a consideration of risks and impacts across the work unit as a whole.
- Manage and coordinate breakdown response including redirection of staff, affecting repairs, redistribution of linen stocks.
- Responsible for the day-to-day stock levels to ensure of ability to meet service delivery requirement.
- Lead all laundry shifts through active, on-floor engagement – encouraging high performance, building competency, and fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
- Provide feedback and coach staff in real time to reinforce standards, raising any performance concerns respectfully thorough the right channels.
- Assist in the implementation of any change management initiatives and strategies identified and assist where required with any site-wide projects.
