About us:

Greenlands State School is a welcoming rural primary school located approximately 12 km west of Stanthorpe, catering for students from Prep to Year 6.

With around 80 students, the school offers a friendly, close-knit learning environment where students receive personalised support and opportunities to grow and achieve.

The school has a proud history dating back to 1924 and values strong connections with its local community.

Your opportunity:

This is a job-sharing arrangement and could suit someone wanting additional hours or only looking for a part-time role. 

As a key member of the school's administration team, you will support the efficient day-to-day operations of the school, particularly in reception, student administration, attendance and general office duties.

This is a front-facing role requiring frequent interaction with students, staff, parents and community members.

Strong communication skills, professionalism and the ability to manage competing priorities in a busy school environment are essential.

The successful applicant will undertake a range of administrative duties, including but not limited to:

  • Reception duties including telephone and counter enquiries, first aid and administering medication
  • Processing correspondence and providing general administrative support
  • Maintaining accurate school records, including incident reports and student files
  • Managing incoming and outgoing mail and email
  • Using departmental systems including OneSchool.
  • Recording student attendance and absences, managing late arrivals and early departures
  • Sending SMS notifications and responding to absence-related enquiries
  • Receipting and reconciling payments in accordance with financial procedures
  • Arranging appointments and coordinating meetings with staff and external stakeholders
  • Collating student data and processing documentation such as medical records, reports, referrals and meeting minutes
  • Scanning, uploading and maintaining records in OneSchool
  • Interpreting and adhering to departmental policies, procedures and legislative requirements
  • Demonstrating flexibility and responsiveness in a fast-paced school environment
  • Undertaking other duties as directed by the Business Manager or Principal, in line with the role
