We are seeking an experienced Senior Risk and Assurance Advisor to join the Residential Tenancies Authority (RTA). This role is required to work collaboratively to support a multi-disciplinary team incorporating governance, compliance, risk, privacy and assurance functions.
This position is a permanent, full-time role and is located in the Brisbane CBD with generous flexible working arrangements.

The role of Senior Risk and Assurance Advisor will operate within the Financial and Assurance Services Business Unit of the RTA to implement and oversee the RTA's governance, risk and compliance frameworks, ensuring the RTA's adherence to both external regulations and internal policies.

To be successful you will need:
- Demonstrated experience developing, implementing and enhancing governance, risk and compliance frameworks with a strong focus on continuous improvement and organisational maturity uplift
- Strong enterprise risk management expertise, including risk assessment and risk advisory
- Experience conducting assurance reviews, coordinating internal audits, and evaluating the design and effectiveness of controls
- Proven experience managing compliance risks, interpreting legislative obligations, maintaining compliance registers, and supporting privacy compliance
- Well-developed stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships and work effectively with senior leaders
- Strong written communication skills, including the ability to prepare high-quality reports and insights for executives, boards and committees.
