About us:

The Gladstone Integrated Service brings together specialist mental health and alcohol and other drugs care for people across Gladstone and surrounding communities. With dedicated Adult, Child and Youth Mental Health, Alcohol and Other Drugs and Step-Up-Step-Down services, the team supports people through assessment, treatment, case management, therapeutic support and referrals.

Working closely with hospitals, health professionals, community organisations and private providers, the service takes a connected approach to reducing harm, supporting recovery and helping people achieve better health and wellbeing.

About the role:

  • Deliver recovery-focused mental health care through assessment, risk management, care planning, therapy, case management and early intervention.
  • Work alongside consumers, families and carers, using a strengths-based and Recovery approach to support individual goals and wellbeing.
  • Connect care across services, working with hospitals, primary health, community providers and CQMHAODS teams to ensure seamless support.
  • Grow and share your clinical expertise, developing your skills and clinical judgement while supporting students and less experienced staff through supervision.

About you:

  • Bachelor of Nursing (or equivalent) with current AHPRA registration and practising certificate is mandatory; Eligibility as an Authorised Mental Health Practitioner is highly desirable.
  • Ability to provide care, risk assessment and triage for people experiencing complex mental illness, with knowledge of the Queensland Mental Health Act 2016 and national standards.
  • Builds effective therapeutic relationships and works confidently within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Brings enthusiasm, sound prioritisation and time-management skills to a busy adult mental health environment.

What we offer:

  • An hourly rate between $72.20 - $77.31 p.h. (including 25% casual loading)
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
