Your new role:

As a Graduate Speech Pathologist, you'll join the Speech Pathology and Audiology team at Logan Hospital and gain broad clinical experience across adult inpatient services. Through two six-month rotations, you'll work across acute, sub-acute and rehabilitation settings, supported by experienced clinicians as you build your confidence, clinical judgement and professional skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver assessment, intervention, patient education and discharge planning across adult inpatient services.
  • Manage a clinical caseload using evidence-based practice, effective prioritisation and clinical supervision.
  • Work collaboratively with patients, families and multidisciplinary teams to achieve person-centred outcomes.
  • Participate in clinical education, quality improvement and research activities while developing your practice.

About you:

You're a motivated graduate Speech Pathologist ready to transition your university learning into clinical practice. You'll bring strong communication skills, a commitment to learning and a genuine focus on delivering safe, compassionate and patient-centred care.

Skills & Experience

  • Relevant Speech Pathology qualification and registration or membership with the appropriate authority.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to apply evidence-based practice and develop clinical knowledge under supervision.
  • Commitment to professional development, reflective practice and continuous improvement.

Logan Hospital:

Logan Hospital is the major health centre for one of the fastest growing areas in Queensland. We offer a range of services, including medical, rehabilitation, maternity, surgical and paediatric care.

We offer our staff and students extensive support and training in most medical specialties. As a teaching hospital, we help train future health care professionals and participate in research through strong partnerships with Queensland's leading medical schools, universities, and TAFE Queensland.

Our services will continue to grow as we build bigger and better facilities to support the community. By 2027, we'll have more beds and 5 more birthing suites as part of the Logan Hospital expansion.
