About the role
Permanent part time opportunity to apply professional judgement to a complex caseload, adapting routine clinical practice based on valid and reliable evidence ensuring effective and efficient service provision while adhering to organisational and professional standards.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Provide evidence-based assessment and intervention, demonstrating the ability to select and interpret psychological tools, as well as demonstrate strong formulation skills within a clinical/ health context.
- Utilise high level communication skills to work cooperatively and effectively with patients and their families, the multi-disciplinary team, the psychology team and other internal and external stakeholders.
- Develop clinical practice knowledge and expertise by engaging in, initiating and facilitating professional development activities including specialist clinical psychological education within the multidisciplinary and psychology teams and to relevant stakeholders.
- Provide clinical supervision to less experienced staff and/or students on placement as required.
