We are seeking an organised and capable Administration Officer (AO3) to provide high-quality administrative support across the school. Working closely with the
Principal and Business Manager, the successful applicant will contribute to financial management, HR administration, workforce coordination and day-to-day school operations.
The ideal applicant will be highly organised, reliable and detail-oriented, with strong financial and HR administration skills,
excellent communication abilities and a commitment to providing professional service and supporting the effective operation of the school.

Harristown State High School is a school with outstanding school spirit, and immense school pride. It continues to be the largest secondary school in Toowoomba with enrolment approaching 1,750 students and over 240 staff.
Our school operates across three distinct campuses. We provide the greatest number and variety of subject offerings for students across Years 7 to 10, and in Years 11 and 12, of any secondary school in Toowoomba, and rank highly in the state of Queensland.

Your opportunity:
- As the Administration Officer, you may undertake work across a broad range of corporate service activities, including human resource (HR), financial and facilities, and/or undertake a narrow range of duties relating to a specific corporate services function.
- Assist in identifying and implementing process improvement opportunities for the efficient and effective provision of corporate services to support school operations.
Responsibilities:
- Manage financial administration, including invoices, purchase orders, accounts, receipting and reconciliations.
- Assist with Accounts Receivable, payment plans, Centrepay, budgets and financial reporting.
- Maintain accurate financial records, registers, databases and asset information.
- Support HR administration, including recruitment, induction, staff records, leave and timesheets.
- Coordinate staff placements, workforce requirements and compliance training.
- Manage and monitor Blue Card processes and ADO arrangements.
- Provide support with employee claims and injury management where required.
- Assist with facilities, assets, maintenance, stocktakes and facility hire.
- Liaise with staff, contractors, departmental officers and community stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities to improve financial, HR and administrative processes.
- Ensure all activities comply with legislation, departmental policies and procedures.
