Who are you? We're looking for an AHPRA Registered Nurse with heart, smarts and the ability to think on their feet, trust their clinical judgement and thrive in an ever-changing environment. And the hours? We have a variety of contracts on offer to suit you.

Trade traffic jams for mountain views, routine for variety, city noise for country calm. Nurse where community, adventure and purpose meet. Join Springsure MPHS! 🌿🩺

About us:

Tucked away in Queensland's stunning Central Highlands, Springsure is about 68km south of Emerald, surrounded by rugged volcanic peaks, wide-open country and a friendly community of around 1,700 people. It's a place where life is relaxed, the scenery is spectacular, and you'll quickly feel part of the community.

Springsure is proudly rural, supporting local agriculture and mining communities — and our 24-bed Multipurpose Health Service is at the heart of it all. Our team provides a fantastic variety of care across emergency, acute care, residential aged care and community services.

About the role:

  • Think fast, nurse smart! Use your clinical judgement, critical thinking and problem-solving skills to deliver safe, high-quality, patient-centred care.
  • Teamwork makes the dream work! Work closely with patients, families and the multidisciplinary team, communicating clearly and helping coordinate the best possible care.
  • Keep growing, keep learning! Embrace professional development, evidence-based practice, education and quality improvement while supporting the growth of your fellow nurses.
  • Step up and make a difference! Take the lead when needed, contribute to care pathways and research, promote health and safety, and help drive positive outcomes for the Springsure community.

About you:

  • 🩺 You'll need current AHPRA registration and a current annual practising certificate. Emergency, critical care or rural nursing experience is a big bonus.
  • 💡 You can confidently assess, plan, deliver and evaluate patient care, think on your feet and make sound clinical decisions when things get busy.
  • 🤝 Great communication is your superpower. You build strong relationships with patients, families and the multidisciplinary team and know how to support, educate and encourage others.
  • 🚀 Comfortable taking the lead, supporting RNs, ENs and AINs, contributing to professional practice and quality improvement, and helping deliver safe, patient-centred care.

What we offer:

Total remuneration value of up to $128,480 p.a. is comprised of:

  • An hourly rate between $42.30 - $56.79 p.h.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading

Additional Benefits:

  • Ongoing Professional Development and Education Opportunities
  • Flexible Work-Life Balance and Variety
  • Generous Salary Sacrificing Options
  • Paid Parental Leave
  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
  • Discounted Private Health Insurance
  • Fitness Passport

Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) requirements:

It is a condition of employment for this role for the employee to be, and remain, vaccinated against vaccine preventable diseases as listed on the Role Description.
